Siren Sisters:
Anja Siren has been spinning records and organizing dub events since the late 90s. In 2008, Siren Sisters started with regular sessions at Sunny Red / Feierwerk, Munich – often inviting sound systems like DubRise, Jah Chalice, Dandelion and guests from all over Germany and abroad. The events are a platform for upcoming artists and veterans alike with a special focus on
female artists.In the selection, Siren Sisters focus on mystical wake-up tunes with a strong message of love & unity – from the finest roots and the heaviest steppers to sweet unreleased material and rare dubplates. Often, she is accompanied by the mic & effect master MC Treasure Irie or the beautiful voices of Sista Sherin and Sista Kaya. Siren Sisters feel blessed and honoured
to be part of a movement and to be able the share the stage and the sound with so many amazing people and artists. Siren Sisters are also part of Kulturimpuls e.V., a non-profit association that makes the Rootsbase on Fusion Festival happen and
also organizes events like Rootsbase Festival and Dubimpuls in Freising. Anja contributes regularly to the German RIDDIM magazine with articles about sound system culture. In 2019, she found the female sound collective LIONESS AWAKE.

MC Treasure Irie’s lyrics revolve around social criticism, politricks and the controversies of life. He is originally from Ecuador and can now look back on more than 20 years of stage career. The word acrobat started with a hip-hop band in his hometown Memmingen. After various reggae bands and sound projects in Dub, HipHop & Drum’n’Bass, Treasure Irie has been on the mic with Siren Sisters for over 10 years now as well as with Dandelion Soundsystem and the Munich Drum’n’Bass Crew Eisbach Callin. He writes his texts in English, the Jamaican Slang Patois and also in German and provides Siren Sisters‘ sets with samples and effects. He resides in Freising near Munich.

Universal Roots Soundsystem:
Das Universal Roots Soundsystem ist Anfang 2016 in Ingolstadt im Herzen Bayerns aus einer Gruppe von Schulfreunden entstanden. Ihre musikalische Bandbreite reicht von Roots Reggae über Dub bis hin zu den neuesten Steppas. Auch eigene Produktionen des Crewmembers DUBTRI bringen die Membranen der Lautsprecher mitunter zum Schwingen. Die tiefen Bässe der selbstgebauten Anlage bilden die Grundlage des Klangteppichs, der nicht nur hörbar sondern auch spürbar ist. Soundeffekte, Instrumental- und Gesangs- bzw. Sprecheinlagen geben den musikalischen Klängen das gewisse Etwas.
